Vi Fineday is an emergency shelter/transition house primarily, but not exclusively, for Aboriginal people. The aim is to provide culturally sensitive hospitality in a home-like environment. Services available to clients include child care, counselling, emergency clothing, and referrals to other agencies.

Vancouver Aboriginal Child and Family Services Society (VACFSS)

VACFSS serves Aboriginal children and families living in the Greater Vancouver area. It strives to culturally and spiritually strengthen Aboriginal families through holistic service delivery. It also honours the great traditions and wisdom inherent in the Aboriginal community. The goal of VACFSS is to create a stronger community through partnerships with other service providers.
Upper Island Women of Native Ancestry (UIWONA)

UIWONA serves Aboriginal women, children and families in the Comox Valley and Northern Vancouver Island. Its programs promote family wellness, build community connections, and celebrate traditional culture. UIWONA also works with other registered charities on issues such as housing, education, parental support, and employment.
Surrounded by Cedar Child & Family Services

The vision of Surrounded by Cedar is of healthy children who are connected to their families, communities, and culture. The organization’s programs are intended to give families the skills, knowledge, and support they need to ensure that their children, and their children’s children, will not enter the child welfare or criminal justice systems.
Spirit of the Children Society

Spirit of the Children Society serves Aboriginal families in the Burnaby, New Westminster, and Tri-Cities area (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody). The Society works to empower and strengthen families through programs for parents, children, youth, and elders.
Secwepemc Child and Family Services

The Secwepemc Child and Family Services Agency was incorporated in 1999. It is the product of an agreement between the Chiefs of the seven Bands of the Secwepemc Nation. The purpose of the Agency is to develop a full complement of child protection services.
Scw’exmx Child and Family Services
Scw’exmx Child and Family Services Society is a delegated agency for the Coldwater, Upper Nicola, Lower Nicola, Nooaitch, and Shackan Bands. It works collaboratively to help children and families in these communities achieve their full potential. The Society strives to do its work in a way that expresses ancestral beliefs, values and instructions.
Sasamans Society

The vision of the Sasamans Society is to strengthen our children and families in a community-driven and culturally appropriate manner. In the kwak’wala language, “sasamans” means “our children”; the society’s name reflects our intention to listen, acknowledge, and honour the voices of the communities that we serve.
Quesnel Women’s Resource Centre

The Quesnel Women’s Resource Centre is committed to providing information, resources, support and counselling for women to assist them with life choices. Our purpose is to work together to create a world that is free from violence, inequality, and oppression where all women have access to equal rights, universal child care, and the right to equal pay for work of equal value.
Positive Women’s Network

In BC and across Canada, Positive Women’s Network strives to improve the medical and social outcomes for women living with HIV and hepatitis C.
The organization recently launched an Indigenous Women’s Support Program, which features peer-led support groups for HIV-positive women who identify as Indigenous or Aboriginal.
