Knucwentwecw Society provides provincially-mandated services to children and families in the band communities of Stswecemc/ Xgat’temc, Tsq’escen, Xats’ull, and T’exelc. These services promote connectivity to family, community, and culture. The Society believes that by working together, we can ensure that our children reach their full potential.

Indigenous Perspectives Society (IPS) offers training programs that help foster a deeper understanding of Indigenous perspectives, cultural differences, and the need for self-determination. The goal is to strengthen lives and build successful relationships in communities. IPS is accredited by CARF International for its Aboriginal Social Work training program.

Federation of Aboriginal Foster Parents

BC’s Federation of Aboriginal Foster Parents comprises caregivers of Aboriginal children from all regions of the province. It was formed to meet the unique needs of these caregivers and their communities. Funded by the Ministry for Children and Family Development, the Federation reflects the government’s desire to embark on a new path of co-operation with Aboriginal peoples.
