AHMA is a quasi-government entity that manages off reserve subsidized housing for Aboriginal residents of BC. AHMA is currently working with BC Housing to have all off reserve Aboriginal housing in the province devolved to it. AHMA is also a strong voice for Aboriginal people on housing issues like affordability, repairs, and homelessness.

Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society (VACFS)

The mandate of VACFS is to serve the urban Aboriginal population of Greater Vancouver, which numbers 40,000. The Centre provides programs in health and welfare, social services, education, and other areas, for all genders and all age groups. VAFCS also helps clients maintain their Aboriginal culture through programs and traditional community activities.

Tansi Friendship Centre Society

Tansi Friendship Centre is located in Chetwynd, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. It provides services for both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people, including addiction intervention, a residential school healing program, and cultural activities.

Prince George Native Friendship Centre

The Prince George Native Friendship Centre is dedicated to servicing the needs of Aboriginal people residing in the urban area, and to improving the quality of life in the community as a whole. Fundamental to this is recognizing the inherent worth of all peoples regardless of race, creed, sexual orientation, or culture. The Centre offers a variety of programs and services for people of all ages, from infants to Elders.
