ANPs provide a wide variety of services. But no matter what service an ANP provides, resources are always scarce. Employees in the field of Human Resources (HR) ensure that those scarce resources are used effectively. Just as ANPs help people succeed in their communities, HR employees help their co-workers reach their full potential in their organization. Among the areas HR employees are involved in are hiring, training, and performance reviews of individuals and the organization as a whole.
VATJSS provides justice and housing services to Aboriginal people within the Metro Vancouver area. The justice service offers a non-adversarial approach that emphasizes healing for victims and meaningful accountability for offenders. The homeless outreach program helps individuals and families find and maintain housing within the community.
BCANDS offers support to Indigenous people living with disabilities in British Columbia. This support includes acting as liaison between our clients and the government agencies that provide their disability-related services; helping clients identify and obtain income they’re entitled to, like tax credits and CPP benefits; and providing health and wellness information to clients and their caregivers. The goal of BCANDS is to make sure that no disabled Indigenous person “falls within the gaps”.
