Spirit of the Children Society serves Aboriginal families in the Burnaby, New Westminster, and Tri-Cities area (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody). The Society works to empower and strengthen families through programs for parents, children, youth, and elders.
In BC and across Canada, Positive Women’s Network strives to improve the medical and social outcomes for women living with HIV and hepatitis C.
The organization recently launched an Indigenous Women’s Support Program, which features peer-led support groups for HIV-positive women who identify as Indigenous or Aboriginal.

Métis Family Services is committed to working collaboratively with Métis families to increase their capacity to nurture and care for their children in a culturally-relevant manner. Métis Family Services is the service delivery agency of the Métis Community organization called “Le Society de les Enfant Michif”.
FVACFSS is a fully delegated agency that provides culturally appropriate and holistic services including prevention, community development, and child welfare programs. FVACFSS serves Aboriginal children, youth, and their families residing throughout the Fraser Valley.
BC’s Federation of Aboriginal Foster Parents comprises caregivers of Aboriginal children from all regions of the province. It was formed to meet the unique needs of these caregivers and their communities. Funded by the Ministry for Children and Family Development, the Federation reflects the government’s desire to embark on a new path of co-operation with Aboriginal peoples.
Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House is a gathering place for Vancouver east residents of all ages, cultures and walks of life. It provide a broad range of accessible, free, and affordable programs for children, youth, families, seniors, and adults, as well as volunteer and leadership opportunities. The goal of Cedar Cottage is to enable people to enhance their lives and strengthen their communities.

The BC Council for Families is dedicated to providing education programs and resources that help all families grow stronger. The Council collaborates with professionals, non-profit organizations, and family-friendly corporations to support and educate BC families just like yours.
The BC Aboriginal Child Care Society (BCACCS) was established in 1996 to administer the $12 million BC share of the federal government’s First Nations/Inuit Child Care Initiative. It incorporated as a non-profit society in 1998 and obtained charitable tax status in 2000. One federal evaluation described BCACCS as a model for other First Nations organizations in Canada.
The Aboriginal Mother Centre is dedicated to moving mothers and children at risk off the street. Under one roof, the Centre provides all the resources a mother needs to rebuild her health, self-esteem, and skills to retain or regain her child. The Centre, grounded in a grass roots setting, creates a healing environment to nurture children and families.
