Provides a safe environment where Aboriginal men may reside while addressing drug and alcohol addiction. Aims to help clients return to their community and lead a productive life. Offers counselling, life skills, and traditional healing methods, to residents and non-residents. Holds a traditional healing circle at 7:30pm on Thursdays. Accepts self-referrals. Does not accept men on methadone maintenece.

Circle of Eagles Lodge Society

COELS takes a holistic approach to integrating its clients into the community. Services offered by the Society include mental health and addictions counselling, pre-employment training, and life skills programs. A definitive factor in the success of COELS is that it incorporates elements of traditional culture, such as sweat lodges and talking circles.
Canadian Aboriginal AIDS Network (CAAN)
CAAN is a national forum for Aboriginal Peoples to holistically address AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases, as well as related issues such as mental health. CAAN provides information on these issues in a culturally relevant manner for Aboriginal Peoples wherever they reside.
Association of BC First Nations Addictions Services
An inter-agency network of residential/outpatient addictions programs operated by First Nations in British Columbia. Currently, the Association has a number of programs located both in rural and urban settings.
Aboriginal Front Door Society
The Aboriginal Front Door Society is a culturally safe, peer designed non-judgemental place for Aboriginal Peoples and thier friends and family in the Downtown East Side. We create hope and offer support through Aboriginal cultural traditions, caring and acceptance. We are a meeting place and a drop in centre with a welcoming environment, providing opportunities to learn more about Aboriginal Peoples and Culture. When necessary, we can also offer other services, such as serving as a crisis centre, brokering long term and specialty trauma counselling, and doing court accompaniments. Our goal is to restore respect, dignity and pride to our members.
Native Education College

Native Education College opened its doors in 1967 and became British Columbia’s largest private Aboriginal College. The College’s mission is to meet the needs of adult students who require developmental, vocational, or applied academic programs to access employment or further post-secondary education.
Indigenous Adult and Higher Learning Association

The Indigenous Adult & Higher Learning Association (IAHLA) was created to represent and support Aboriginal-controlled adult and post-secondary educational institutions in BC. The IAHLA provides a unified voice for its 38 member institutions, and it supports them through research, professional development, and networking opportunities.
First Nations Schools Association of British Columbia

The First Nations Schools Association (FNSA) works on behalf of First Nations controlled schools in BC. The FNSA support schools in creating effective, nurturing, and culturally appropriate education environments. Almost all of the 128 First Nations schools in the province are members of the Association.
First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC)

The First Nations Education Steering Committee (FNESC) was founded in 1992 by participants at a provincial education conference at the Vancouver Friendship Centre. The goals of the FNESC are to improve the quality of education provided to First Nations students and to help students succeed academically.
